COVID-19 UPDATE

The health and safety of our customers is our primary concern, with this at the forefront of our minds we will still be trading with only a few changes at the moment. We can confirm that none of our staff or their families have travelled from any at-risk countries in recent times.

What has changed?

As of the 6th of June, the WA government has rolled out phase 3 of their 4 phase plan. This phase has allowed for public pools to reopened and the maximum number of people allowed to congregate together has been raised from 20 people to 100 people. Assuming social distancing rules are still being followed. (2sqm distance between people) In light of this phase being rolled out, we have decided to raise our limits on the number of students starting a course from four students to six. This will allow us to be able to maintain the social distancing guidelines. A few of the skills required to be completed during the course have been adapted to follow these guidelines as well. If you have any questions about what is being done to protect our customers specifically during courses please feel free to give us a call on the number provided below.

What are we doing to protect our customers?

In light of recent events, we have taken precautions to ensure that all equipment being used by our divers is disinfected before use or before leaving our premises. These procedures will be in place indefinitely. Upon our investigations, we have found the easiest and safest way to disinfect our equipment is with a chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) bath. Followed by multiple washes in clean fresh water.

We have also taken the liberty of using this chlorhexidine gluconate for cleaning our display items in the shop, flat surfaces, door handles, EFTPOS machines, and anything else that may come in contact by the general public and by our staff.

Is there going to be any change in the day to day operations?

Until the advice from our local, state, or federal government changes, we will be operating as per normal with only a few changes. However, we will keep everyone updated on our movements as things progress.

We here at Perth Diving Academy Hillarys would like to thank everyone for their continued support and hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
